BIP Ethical Hacking: Build Cybersecurity Skills with Kauno Kolegija

Kauno Kolegija Higher Education Institution

May 28, 2026 | Kaunas, Lithuania

BIP Ethical Hacking — Kauno Kolegija, October 2026

This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is designed to equip students with practical skills in ethical hacking, with a strong focus on network security and artificial intelligence (AI) security. Participants will explore how attacks on AI systems work, conduct penetration testing, carry out vulnerability assessments, and learn to set up and use Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).

The programme also covers packet analysis using Wireshark, a wide range of cybersecurity tools, and effective defense strategies — giving participants both theoretical grounding and real-world experience through hands-on simulations and team-based challenges.

Programme structure

Host: Kauno Kolegija — Pramonės pr. 20, 22 & 22A, Kaunas

Skills and competencies

The programme is built around learning by doing. Through a mix of lectures, hands-on labs, and team-based challenges, participants will develop a solid foundation in both offensive and defensive cybersecurity — as well as the soft skills needed to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. By the end of the programme, students will have developed competencies in:

  • Ethical hacking principles and teamwork in a cybersecurity context
  • Communication and presentation of technical findings
  • Working in simulation environments to practise cybersecurity scenarios
  • Practical packet analysis using Wireshark
  • Cybersecurity attack methods and the tools used to carry them out
  • Penetration testing and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
  • Understanding and defending against attacks on AI systems

Beyond the technical content, the programme aims to build participants' confidence and adaptability — equipping them with the mindset and tools needed to keep learning as the cybersecurity landscape continues to evolve.

Target audience and requirements

This BIP is open to students in informatics, computer science, or related fields. Participants should bring basic knowledge of computer networks, experience with Linux, and a foundational understanding of programming and machine learning or AI concepts.
