In October 2025, UNINOVIS launched its first Research Internship Call, inviting academic and research staff from all eight member universities to host an international research intern within their projects, labs, or teams.
This initiative aims to strengthen research collaboration and mobility across our Alliance and to support the mobility of emerging and established researchers.
We are excited to announce that 60 hosting offers have already been collected.
Who can apply?
This call is open to all members of the UNINOVIS Alliance community:
- Master's students (Research track)
- PhD candidates
- Lecturers, assistant professors, senior academics
- Research support and administrative staff
How to apply - 4 simple steps
1) Check funding options before contacting your hosts
Each university provides limited financial support according to its internal or national regulations. Funding durations and eligibility differ, so candidates must check available options at their home institution first.
2) Contact host supervisors
After reviewing your funding options, please browse the list of internship offers and contact your preferred host(s). Your application email should include: Full name, Email address, Current academic position, Short motivation statement (max. 150 words), and up to three relevant publications or conference presentations.
3) Apply for funding
Once you receive the Commitment Letter, contact your local administration office and submit your funding request, attaching the Commitment Letter.
4) Internship & Research Stay
If funding is granted, both the intern and the host supervisor must sign the Internship Agreement Form. The research stay can take place anytime during the 2025–2026 academic year, typically lasting between three weeks and three months. After completing the stay, interns must submit a final activity report to their local administration office.
